What is Astrology Print E-mail

Astrology is a traditional method of determining personal characteristics, behaviors, and of predicting events that will happen in a person’s life based on the positioning of the sun, moon and planets at the exact time the person was born. While astrology is not a science, for there is no absolute method of proving it, it is considered a pseudoscience, or a superstition. There are many different traditions of astrology, mostly determined by the country it evolved in. There is, in almost every culture, some form of astrological belief. This could possibly be due to the great mystery that surrounds the heavens and planets. Some people believe that if the moon, and it’s gravitational pull can affect all the waters in the oceans, then surely the pull from all the other planets must do something as well. The human body is made up of seventy percent water. There has to be something to all this superstition. People from all over the world, from all different eras in time, have all found some way to study the positions of the planets and associate it with human behavior. Of course there are those that will say that the descriptions for each of the different astrological signs are so brad they could really apply to almost anyone if you look at them closely enough. While many people may fall into the category of believing their sun sign does indeed give an accurate picture of the kind of person they are, they do not go as far as to read their horoscope daily, predicting what kind of day they will have. Like any superstition, there is a lot of hype and smoke that clouds what just may be some actual fact.
